Author Bio
MARTHA BRAGIN, Ph.D. - Martha Bragin, Ph.D., LCSW is Associate Professor at Hunter College
School of Social Work, as well as clinical and research faculty in Social Work at the International Program on Refugee Trauma (IPORT) at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons. She is a member of the working group on the psychic effects of social exclusion of the International Psychoanalytic Association, and the Committee on Psychoanalysis in the Community of the American Psychoanalytic Association.
For the past 25 years, Dr. Bragin has served as advisor to governments,
international organizations and non-governmental organizations on the
demobilization, demilitarization and reintegration of soldiers following war with special attention to women and children. She has developed and assessed psychosocial programs for children and families affected by conflict and disaster in the US, Europe, Latin America, Sub-Saharan Africa, Central, South and Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
