Course Objective

  • What is manipulative behavior in terms of suicide
  • Suicide responses by caregiver or therapist
  • Suicidal Gestures
  • Reasons for manipulation

Author Bio
Robert Yufit, Ph.D.- Robert I. Yufit received his Ph.D. from the University of Chicago and was a USPHS Post-Doctoral Fellow in Clinical Psychology. He is a Past-President of the American Association of Suicidology, and a Past President of Section 7 of APA Division 12, Society of Clinical Psychology, in which he is a Fellow. He is an Associate Editor of Assessment of the Journal of Suicide and Life Threatening Behavior. He is an Associate Professor in the Division of Psychology, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and has been in Independent Practice (Assessment & Psychotherapy) in Chicago. He is A.B.P.P. Board Certified in Clinical Psychology.
