This program provides clinicians with the opportunity to learn about:
Core principles and values of a family and community resilience-oriented approach to recovery 
Individually based, symptom-focused approaches to trauma recovery versus this multi-systemic practice approach 
Contextualizing the distress taps strengths 
The trauma field and its changes.

Author Bio
FROMA WALSH, Ph.D.-Froma Walsh received her MSW from Smith College School for Social Work and her doctorate in Human Development from the University of
Chicago. She is the Mose and Sylvia Firestone Professor Emerita at
the University of Chicago School of Social Service Administration, and
co-director of the Center for Family Health at the University of Chicago.
Her books include: Strengthening Family Resilience, Normal Family
Processes, Living Beyond Loss: Death in the Family, Spiritual Resources in Family Therapy, and Women and Families. She is a popular speaker and lectures internationally on topics related to helping families overcome serious life crises and adversity.
