This module presents a discussion regarding Freud's thinking about women and the current views of the psychoanalytic community.
Course Objective
This program provides clinicians with the opportunity to learn about:
Freud's thinking about women and the current views of the psychoanalytic community
The current state of thinking with regards to women's development
Women's moral judgments arise out of relationship concerns
Men's moral judgments which arise out of legalistic views of right and wrong.

Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Addiction Therapists
Author Bio
MARION TOLPIN, M.D. Dr. Marion Tolpin was Clinical Professor of psychiatry at the Chicago Medical School, a training and supervising analyst at the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis, and was in private practice in Chicago. She was a prolific author whose articles appeared frequently in The Psychoanalytic Study of the Child and The Annual of Psychoanalysis. On the topic of women, refer to her article, ―The Exemplary Case of Anna O: the Unmirrored Self, Compensatory Structure and Cure,‖ in the Annual of Psychoanalysis, volume 21. Dr. Tolpin‘s most recent book is entitled Heinz Kohut: The Chicago Institute Lectures, coauthored with Dr. Paul Tolpin.
