A discussion about object relations theory as it applies to couples 
How to use object relations theory in your work.

Author Bio
JILL and DAVID SCHARFF, Ph.D., Ph.D. -  Dr. Jill Savage Scharff is co-director of the International Institute of Object Relations Therapy and clinical professor of psychiatry at Georgetown University.  Educated in Scotland, she moved to England for further training at the Tavistock Clinic and received membership in the Royal College of Psychiatrists before coming to the United States. Dr. Jill Scharff is Board Certified in adult and child psychiatry and certified in child and adult psychoanalysis by the American Psychoanalytic Association.  

Dr. David Scharff is the co-director of the International institute of Object Relations Therapy and clinical professor of psychiatry at Georgetown and the Uniformed Services Universities. Dr. Scharff received his M.D. from Harvard and is Board Certified in adult and child psychiatry and certified in psychoanalysis by the American Psychoanalytic Association. He is a certified sex therapist and former president of the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists.
