The purpose of this module is to present the effects mothers with Borderline Personality Disorder have on their children.
Course Objective
This program provides clinicians with the opportunity to learn about:

How BPD emerges from vulnerabilities in brain function around regulation of affect and impulse control.
The biologic aspects of BPD, circumstances during development.
The neurological functioning of children of borderline mothers  and deficits in early parenting

Intended Audience
Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, Addiction Therapists

CHRISTINE LAWSON, Ph.D. Christine Lawson, Ph.D., LCSW, received her PhD in Family Studies from Purdue University. She is the author of a book and numerous articles on the Borderline Mother. Her book is entitled Understanding the Borderline Mother: Helping her Children Transcend the Intense, Unpredictable, and Volatile Relationship.
