Use of validation and teaching self-soothing

VALERIE PORR Valerie Porr, founded TARA APD in 1995, which stands for the Treatment and Research Advancement Association for Personality Disorders. TARA is the only national, nonprofit, educational and advocacy organization for borderline personality disorder. Its mission is to raise public awareness of the disorder, increase research funding and ensure availability of evidence-based treatment and translation of research findings into practice.
