Understanding COBRA and HIPPA for Supervisors
This online employment training course teaches supervisors about two federal laws that regulate group health insurance plans—COBRA, the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1986, and HIPAA, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. This training course will teach managers and supervisors the basics they need to know about COBRA and HIPAA and how they affect employees and the organization. At the end of the training session, trainees will be able to understand the basic provisions of COBRA and HIPAA, recognize how these laws affect employees and the organization, and provide employees with information about access to health coverage under these laws.
