This module addresses psychoanalysis and why it's important for clinicians to understand the workings of the brain.
Course Objective
This program provides clinicians with the opportunity to learn about:
• The workings of the brain.
• The Intersection of Psychoanalysis and Neuroscience
• Learning in the context of psychotherapy/ psychoanalysis
• The science behind and the theory behind the subject of learning

Author Bio
FRED LEVIN, M.D. - Dr. Fred Levin is a training and supervising analyst at the Chicago Institute for Psychoanalysis. An assistant professor of clinical psychiatry at the Northwestern University Medical School, he is also on the faculty in the departments of psychiatry and neurology at the Chicago Medical School. He will refer to two major references in this program, first, to three articles on psychoanalysis and knowledge which appear in The Annual of Psychoanalysis - volume 23, and second, to his book Mapping the Mind: The Intersection of Psychoanalysis and Neuroscience.
