Course Objective
This program provides clinicians with the opportunity to learn about:
• Become familiar with an alternative treatment approach to domestic violence.
• Recognize and learn important elements of the legal and psychological aspects of working with victims.

Author Bio
ROCHELLE HANSON, Ph.D. Dr. Rochelle Hanson, is the coordinator for the Center for Sexual Assault and Abuse Recovery and Education, the acronym for which is CARE, at the University of Florida, where she also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Health and Family Medicine. From 1992-1995, Dr. Hanson served on the faculty at the National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center known as NCC at the Medical University of South Carolina. She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Florida State University and completed an NAMH post-doctoral fellowship in sexual assault research at the NCC. Dr. Hanson specializes in assessment and treatment of sexual and physical assault.
