Course Objective
This program provides clinicians with the opportunity to learn about:
Assessing and rehabilitating therapists who have committed sexual misconduct
offenders may lie or minimize
Some offenders cannot be rehabilitated
Public safety is the main issue

Author Bio
Gary R. Schoener, M. Eq. and Psy.D (hon) is a clinical psychologist who for more than 35 years has served as Executive Director of the Walk-In Counseling Center in Minneapolis (www.walkin.org). He served for 12 years on the American Psychological Assn.'s Advisory Committee on the Impaired Psychologist, and was a member of the Task Force on Sexual Impropriety.  He is the recipient of the APA's Heiser Award for advocacy in psychology as well as many other honors.
 
He has served as a consultant in more than 4,000 cases of alleged professional misconduct and serves as an expert witness frequently. His training and consulting are world-wide and involve many different professions and professional organizations.  He is the senior author of Psychotherapists' Sexual Involvement with Clients: Intervention & Prevention as well as many book chapters and articles.
