The purpose of this module is to present a discussion on quick ways to assess the presence of alcoholism in patients. 
Course Objective
This program provides clinicians with the opportunity to learn about:

How the culture supports addictive behavior
Other symptoms can mask chemical dependence
What is Narrative Theory and Object Relations Theory
Gambling and treatment
Intended Audience

Author Bio
Robert Taylor, M.A. was a co-founder of Taylor and Associates, Inc. This company, provided EAP consultation and training to businesses and 
organizations. 

In 1980, he designed, implemented then administered for the following eight years the employee and members assistance program for the Episcopal Diocese of Chicago. 

He was part of the team which founded St. Leonard’s House, a halfway house serving exit centers and addicted persons. He served as its executive director from 1963 to 1970. 

Carolyn Saari, Ph.D. was the editor of the Clinical Social Work Journal and was professor of social work at the Loyola University School of Social Work in Chicago. She holds an undergraduate degree from Vassar College, masters from Simmons College and a doctorate from the Smith College School for Social Work.

Mary Rich, Ph.D. and Board Certified Diplomat in Clinical Social Work, is a Nationally Certified Gambling Counselor and Certified Supervisor of Counselors in Alcohol and other Addictions in Illinois.  Mary Rich is a widely sought after lecturer and consultant, consulting with such organizations as the Illinois Department of Public Aid and Napier, a program for drug-addicted mothers and their infants.
